UAK annually arranges a new year’s concert in the magnificent assembly hall of the university on January 1 and 2. At these events major choral pieces are performed, like Bach’s b minor mass, Handel’s Messiah or Monteverdi’s vespers. At these concerts, UAK performs together with well-known soloists and orchestras. For many years we have had the pleasure of welcoming the Drottningholm Baroque Ensemble as recurring guests, along with an array of vocal soloists, e.g. at the millennium celebration the English tenors Lynton Atkinson, Rufus Müller och Mark Tucker.
